Leave of Absence/Disability

State-Specific Disability Coverage Information

  • Employees Working in NY, NJ, HI RI, or WA

You may be eligible to earn short-term disability benefits if you experience illness or injury that results in disability during your employment.  For more information, please refer to the links below.

  • Employees Working in California

As an employer in California, we are required to participate in the state’s short-term disability plan through payroll deductions for all employees working in California.  Since 1980, IES has enrolled in a state-approved third-party administrator plan.  Employees who participate in the Voluntary Disability Insurance (VDI) can enjoy enhanced wage benefits, while avoiding the administrative process of reporting through the State of California.

Within your first week of employment, please review the 2025 Innovative Employee Solutions Voluntary Plan Statement of Coverage.

Please view the 2025 Innovative Employee Solutions Voluntary Plan Document here.

If you need to file a disability claim, please contact IES Human Resources at humanresources@innovative-es.com or 858-715-5100 x164.
